Corporate Governance

Asian Plantations Limited, as a public company listed on London's Alternative Investment Market ("AIM"), is required to ensure compliance with the spirit and letter of corporate governance requirements and best practice recommendations. In addition, the Singaporean Companies Act, as the Company is incorporated in Singapore, requires each Director to look after the interests of all shareholders.

At present, the Company’s board is comprised of four individuals:

The Directors will review the composition of the Board on a regular basis and make further appointments as necessary. The audit committee will be chaired by Datuk Amar Leonard Linggi Anak Jugah. The audit committee has responsibility for ensuring that the financial performance, position and prospects of the Company are properly monitored and reported on, for meeting with the auditors and discussing their reports on the accounts and the Company’s financial controls and for recommending the appointment of auditors. The remuneration committee will be chaired by Datuk Amar Leonard Linggi Anak Jugah. The remuneration committee has responsibility for reviewing the performance of the executive Directors, setting their remuneration, determining the payment of any bonuses and considering the grant of options under the Company’s share option schemes.

The Company maintains strict corporate, environmental and social policies. We seek to achieve RSPO certification for our plantations in the medium term.
